Great Dane Training ? Discover the Greatest Way to Train Your Great Dane

With the right tools and techniques, Great Dane training can really be fun and rewarding! You see, I have a Great Dane called Marshmallow and I can't begin to tell you how hard it was to train him.

When I brought him to my place for the first time, here's one of the first things he did: He peed on my favorite sofa!

So, I looked up online for some dog crate training tips. I followed the methods to the letter for about 3 weeks with little progress.

So one day, I was browsing through a video sharing site and came upon this really cool dog training video. I followed the link at the bottom of the video, and found a downloadable step-by-step manual on how to shape desirable behaviors in dogs using clicker as a training tool.

Click here to take a look at the course.

So I downloaded the course and followed the outlined steps. Well, guess what?

My Great Dane training became a lot easier! Without a doubt, for me, clicker training is the greatest way to train your dog.

t's all a matter of using the proper conditioned reinforcer methods to get your Great Dane to perform habits that are desirable.

Alright listen, here's are some clicker tips for your Great Dane training

(1)  Charging a clicker is necessary in order to make your dog respond better. Clicker charging is basically a method of introducing your dog to the clicker in a gradual and precise fashion. It's a vital process especially in the early stages of training.

(2)   In order to improve your dog's obedience training, be sure to conduct some target stick exercises every week. If your Great Dane can master the target stick contact at every command, then you can instruct him to go in any direction you wish. My Marshmallow is getting the hang of it as he enjoys this type of exercise.

(3)  It is vital that you click with precision. See, you need to observe your dog carefully during training and when he performs a desirable behavior, click the clicker at the exact moment. And then simply offer the treat to him.

Your dog will learn a particular habit a lot quicker if you are able to click and deliver the treat in a precise manner.

Like I said, Great Dane training can be fun and rewarding, especially if you have a systematic step-by-step guide to refer to. Follow the steps outlined in this clicker course to uncover lots of training examples and plans for 30 different dog behaviors.

It's easy to follow and you will see results in a few weeks provided you practice as often as possible.

I like this book to loan people who are considering getting a dane, as well as keeping a copy for myself. I think it explains how wonderful they truly are, but also explains the responsibilities of owning this breed. In many ways, they’re more like an exotic pet and do have special care requirements, which he explains. He tells of the ups and the downs and makes you realize that your life won’t be the same and you must be sure that this is what you want. Of the two people I’ve loaned my spare copy to, one got a dane and adored it & another decided against it. And I have another person who wants to borrow it, as they’re considering a dane. Very helpful to a new or prospective dane owner. Also has many beautiful, naturally-taken dane pictures throughout.

I purchased a great dane and really was looking for something breed specific to find information to help me to care for my dane correctly. It answered my questions very well and in easy to read and understand language. A must for any first-time dane owner. Many beautiful Dane pictures. And very economically priced.

From the first sentence of the boook, there is a recurring theme that “Giant Dogs bring Giant Responsibilities.” While this is certainly good advice, it was repeated so often throughout the book that I got the impression that the author was trying to discourage readers from getting a Great Dane. He spent a lot of time discussing health issues (always the problems the dog can get)but little time discussing what to do about them. AFter reading the book, it is enough to make a prospective owner consider opting for another breed. If you read the book, balance it with information from another Great Dane book, as this one is biased against new owners.
